(Click) There we go. Light! We can thank Nikola Tesla for that. Nikola had a fascinating childhood, made amazing inventions, and had many roadblocks. All of his achievements started with his childhood.
Nikola Tesla had a fascinating childhood. He got inspired in the weirdest of ways. He got shocked while he was petting his cat. He was born in 1856 in Smilja, Croatia. He imagined the pounding waters of Niagara Falls tuning giant magnetic wheels to power cities! His ideas as a child were a vital part of his future accomplishments.
Nikola Tesla made some amazing inventions. He began experimenting with AC (alternating Current) in the 1880s. He Invented almost 700 things. So much of his most well known inventions are radios, laser beams, light bulbs, and of course alternating current the main source of our present day power. Making all the things that he did wasn’t easy though.
He had many roadblocks. One was he did not have a lot of support. When he told people his ideas they laughed. Also AC was hard to work with, especially with, little help. Not to mention Thomas Edison, Who everyone loved because he made Direct Current (DC). He was spreading false information about AC. But Nikola Tesla still managed to pull through!
Sadly, Tesla died on January 7, 1943. He had a great childhood, made groundbreaking inventions, and had many roadblocks. Nikola Tesla made life changing inventions, including the technology for the iPad your holding in your hands right now.

Steve Jobs did not know half of his family because he was adopted at a young age. Macintosh was a big company when Apple first started. He was fired from his own company but he came back.

The house on Maple Street
Mr. Wallace, this man is very interesting. I think everything about him is interesting. He has never come out of his house at all. My name is Catarina Tupilla, and my friends and I have been trying to see what has been going on in that house for years. I should mention I live across the street.
Chapter 2 Catarina
"Why" I say "there are so many things we don't know about that man" said Jhona. Jhona is my next door neighbor. Jhona and I live next door to each other. "I heard Sally Conner says that he has a garden with the biggest vegetables in the world," I said. "Tessa Wise told me that he had a wife with big red hair and then she was killed in an experiment," said Jhona. "And Lilly Murry said he has a robot dog." There are still many more things that we have heard about Mr.Wallace.
Chapter 3 Wallace
Meanwhile at Mr. Wallace's house. "Hand me another bolt Sammy," said Wallace. ''Yes sir'' said Sammy. "Looks like that electric collar works good Sammy," said Wallace. "Of course'' said Sammy. "Ouch" said Wallace. "Sorry" said Sammy.
Chapter 4 Catarina
"Prepare The zip line, do you copy'' I say. "I copy" said Jordan. she lives on the other side of me. In the other apartment. Jordan and I have been friends forever and we always have the best summers of the class. "Ready, set, go" I say. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Get Out of the Way! "
chapter 5 Wallace
"Good night Sammy'' said Wallace. As he pulled the lever. "Bump Bump" Mr. Wallace was then lifted from the basement then into his room. Too long paws that had gloves on the end of them pulled up the covers. That morning when Sammy got up he went to the kitchen and gripped another lever. As Wallace was in bed the picture next to him opened.
Chapter 6 Catarina
"Who are they?" Jhona said. "Dunno," I say. There are new people moving in next to Mr. Wallace. "Should we go and introduce ourselves?" said Jhona. "No" I say, "We have to let them introduce themselves" I say. Just as two girls walk out of the house. They were wearing baby blue matching puffy dresses with blonde pig-tales tied with red ribbon.
Chapter 7 Wallace
"OK I think were… done!" said Wallace. The house rocket was complete. "Are you sure you want to come with me? You don't want to be a normal dog?" says Wallace. "I will always be your dog and you will always be my master'' said Sammy.
Chapter 8 Catarina
" So Ellie and Kelly right?" asked Jhona "yep" they replied. As I rushed out of the under-side. Thats what my mom calls the underneath of my bed "Look at this" I said. It was blueprints for a rocket with adjustments. "It looks like a house but a rocket too, I don't understand" said Jhona.
Chapter 9 Wallace
"Get ready, is the flex capacitor steady and the radar secure?'' said Wallace. "Everything is fine'' said Sammy. "We are ready for lift off Captain." "Ok are you sure?" said Wallace. "Yep, never been to space and now is my chance" says Sammy.
Chapter 10 Catarina
BUMP BUMP BOOM! Everyone woke up to that sound. Just so you know I had a sleepover. "Jordan, Jhona, Ellie and Kelly, are you here?" I asked. They all replied, "Yes." "Me? Yes, me I'm here." We all peered out the window to the big sound. What we saw that day was unspeakable. What we saw was the house flying up into the sky. It was a perfect lift-off.
Epilogue
"We all just kind of separated from there on. Jordan became a professional soccer player. Ellie the illustrator for many children's books with Kelly as the writer. Jhona and I met a girl name Sarah and we all became NASA astronauts. Mr. Wallace was said to be found in space and he was to be about 301 years old. But he died the day he came back to earth. And for Sammy he became the oldest dog alive. OK Dr. see I'm not hallucinating." I explain. "Well this Photo could be Photoshop you see." said the Doctor. "No!" I say. "Well I guess you're just gonna have to stay here I guess" said the doctor. "No, you can't just leave me here in a cage like a bird ,come back!" I exclaim.
